In response to the persistent water shortage in parts of Accra, John Dumelo, actor and NDC Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has stepped in to support residents of Okponglo and nearby areas.
In a video seen on his X page, he is seen arranging for water tankers to deliver potable water to the affected communities.
“I had a call at 4:30 am from Okponglo that they had no water and they needed my help… I responded. #idey4u #thenextMp” he added.
Residents eagerly gathered with buckets, basins, and barrels to collect the essential supply.
This initiative is part of John Dumelo’s broader efforts to engage with and support the grassroots community as he prepares for the upcoming December 7 general elections.
The water distribution was met with widespread gratitude, as many households have been grappling with securing clean water amid the ongoing drought.
Dumelo’s timely intervention has been well-received, addressing urgent needs and showcasing his commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
Through this act, he aims to highlight his dedication to community-focused leadership.
