Social media users have engaged in an ongoing empathetic campaign regarding the effects of Ghana’s economy on a Ghanaian parent.
The parent identified by happyghana.com on X as @Mr. Essah, in a tweet expressed how much of his mind had been occupied by the nation’s economy.
The parent, who made his way to his ward’s school, forgot to drop the child off but rather handed the child’s backpack and lunchbox to the security on duty and drove off. In the post he said, “When the economy makes you overthink; took my son to school this morning, handed his bag and lunchbox to the security, sat in my car and drove away.”
Mr. Essah after looking into the rear view mirror of his car, then realized that he forgot to drop his ward off at the school. He blamed the state of the economy for committing such a bizarre act. “Only to look in the rear view mirror to still see my son smiling sitting in the car seat.”
Meanwhile, the Finance Minister, Kennedy Agyapong at the presentation of the budget for 2024, on Friday, November 15, 2023 assured Ghanaians of effective advancements being made by the government to overcome Ghana’s economic challenges.
The post has garnered many relatable comments from social media users who also narrated their various experiences of doing bizarre things due to the negative impact of the economy.
