Governor of Bank of Ghana, Dr. Joseph Asiama has announced innovative plans to effectively enhance communication at the Bank of Ghana.

Outlining his vision for effective communication, Dr. Asiama emphasized the importance of improving communication and maintaining regular dialogues with banks.

“We shall improve our communication regime and ensure regular dialogues with the banks on regulatory matters”.

Despite acknowledging the current high levels of inflation, Dr. Asiama expressed confidence in the Bank’s ability to bring it under control.

“We are confident that the current levels of inflation, although relatively high, will gradually trend back to the target range within the forecast horizon”.

Dr. Asiama stated during his swearing in ceremony on Tuesday February 25, 2025 that, under his leadership, the Bank of Ghana will focus on six priority areas to stabilize the country’s financial sector. These include recalibrating the monetary policy strategy, enhancing the policy framework, and ensuring exchange rate stability.

Dr. Asiama’s commitment to improving communication and transparency aligns with broader calls for accountability and efficiency in governance.
