Don't fall for NPP's election day tricks - Prof. Opoku-Agyemang advises

The Running mate to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flagbearer Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has cautioned electorates against accepting vote-buying inducements from the ruling party, emphasizing that such gestures only lead to hardships and deny them quality development.

Addressing a community durbar at Buduburam in the Gomoa East constituency, she stressed that state resources should be utilized to create jobs for the youth, rather than being squandered on election-day vote-buying. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang noted that the paltry sums offered by the ruling party cannot address pressing needs such as building polyclinics, roads, and schools.

She emphasized that good governance involves implementing policies that improve lives, citing the NDC’s promises of a 24-hour economy, Women’s Development Bank, and massive infrastructure development through the Big Push policy. She urged electorates to vote for the NDC Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, and the Gomoa East parliamentary candidate, Desmond De-Graft Paitoo, to bring development to the area
