Black challenge coach, Richard Obeng has responded emphatically to sports Minister Mustapha Usif that the donation received from former President John Mahama has been spent already.
According to him, when the team returned from the Amputee Africa Cup of Nations ( AAFCON), there was no support, so the monies received from donations have already been shared.
Speaking on Accra based radio station, Mr Obeng explained that the team is yet to render accounts on how the donations were spent as demanded by the sport’s Minister.
“The donations were spent on our upkeep, hotel bills, transportation to our various homes, the reason being that after giving us tickets, we never received logistics so we depended on the donors for our upkeep”.
He further explained that the donations were essential for covering basic needs during a period when the team received no logistical support from the Ministry of youth and Sports.
