The Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide, has extended his gratitude to Ghana’s number one radio station, Happy 98.9FM, for observing all health protocols and also sensitizing the general public on the need to comply with the precautionary measures.

In an interview with Samuel Eshun on the Happy Morning show, he said: “I want to commend Happy FM and all journalists for the great work they are doing to help the Government especially in this COVID-19 era. The public education you are embarking on helps to cause behavioral change to help us confront COVID-19”.
He noted that before he entered the premises of Happy FM, he was provided with soap and water and his temperature was also checked. “The glasses you have placed in your studios to protect people against contracting the illness is a good initiative”, he added.

He added, “The media has done so well in making people comply with the directives. We really thank Happy FM for the good work being done”.
The Ghanaian media have consistently announced the appropriate precautions to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease. These include washing of hands with soap and water, the use of hand sanitizers, wearing of nose masks, maintaining a safe distance from others and staying at home.
