Democracy Hub: Court remand 10 protesters into police custody for two weeks

The Circuit Court has remanded ten (10) protesters who were arrested during the democracy hub’s three(3) day demonstration including Ralph St. Williams who was arrested during the NDC’s 17th September, 2024 “Enough is Enough” demonstration in Accra.

The Ten(10) were arraigned before court on Tuesday 24th September, 2024 by the Ghana Police Service.

The Ghana Police Service during the demonstration from 21st September to 23rd September, 2024 arrested thirty nine (39) protesters in total, and these protesters are being arraigned before court in batches across two(2) circuit courts, Court 6 and Court 10.

The ten (10) pleaded not guilty to charges of unlawful assembly, unlawful damage, assaulting a police officer, and conspiracy to commit crime.

The court has therefore remanded them until 8th October, 2024.
