Ghanaian event organizer Daniel Assah on behalf of all event organisers in Ghana has appealed to the government of Ghana to maintain peace in this upcoming general election slated for December.
While delivering a statement at the official launch of this year’s December in GH, held on Friday, August 23, at the Osu Castle Gardens, he explained that the peace in Ghana has been a major attraction for all tourists and visitors from other countries. “Our events have attracted many from diverse backgrounds to visit the country and have contributed massively to the Ghanaian economy.”
The patron of the renowned premium all white party atop the hills of Aburi – Little Havanna indicated that Ghana’s spot as the number one go-to destination every year for a good time in the festive season can only be kept if this year’s election goes on peacefully. “This year is an election year and I want to take this opportunity to urge government to do more in maintaining the peace and security we enjoy as a nation before, during and after the elections so that we can celebrate the December in GH peacefully.”
Little Havana is enlisted as one of the 64 events that were endorsed earlier this year, at the first entry call by Beyond The Return Secretariat.
The Ghana Tourism Authority and Beyond The Return Secretariat will soon open another window till September 13 for all event organizers to get their events reviewed and endorsed by Beyond The Return Secretariat as part of the December in GH final calendar which will be unveiled in October 2024.
