Retired senior police officer, ACP Dr. Benjamin Kwasi Agordzo has labeled Dr. George Akuffo Dampare as the worst Inspector General of Police in the history of the Ghana Police Service.

According to ACP Agordzo, IGP Dampare is running his administration in the Ghana Police Service with vindictiveness as he is breaking protocol by promoting his loyalists without the promotions board.

He claimed that several law suits have been filed by police men against Dr. Dampare for his selectiveness and punishing people who don’t align with him by transferring them.

“I will always say that Dampare is the worse IGP in the history of Ghana. He is the worse we have seen in this country. Dampare is promoting people without the promotions board.”

“He is so vindictive that he is transferring people who don’t sing his tune. He has transferred all the people around the Deputy IGP. I don’t have a personal problem with him but I’m against what he is doing,” he said.

He also alleged that 80 percent of policemen voted against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because they don’t want to deal with IGP Dampare again.

“I have been saying this and I wrote it on my Facebook page that 80 percent of police officers voted against the NPP because of IGP Dampare. They don’t want him and they want him out.”
