COVID-19: All Sporting activities remain suspended- NSA

The National Sports Authority (NSA) has announced that all supporting activities remain suspended despite the lifting of the partial lockdown on Monday by the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo.

The three-week lock down in the Greater Accra, Kumasi and Kasoa was to contain and break the spread of the Covid-19 which has affected 1042 people in the country with 99 recoveries and eight death cases.

In a statement signed by Charles Amofah, Head of Public Relations at NSA, the review of conditions announced by the President and necessitated the adjustment of its activities.

“All sporting activities remain suspended till further notice. You are to ensure that only essential services are provided from our various directorates including Head Office, Departmental Heads of Security, Administration, Public Relations, Human Resources, and Accounts are expected to be at post.

“All other staff are encouraged to work from home using digital workplace, excerpt when their services are critically needed, which in that case permission must be sought from the Director-General,” the statement said.

The statement advised its staff to observe social distancing protocols as well as personal hygiene and seek further clarification from the Director-General.
