An Accra High Court has rejected an application for an interlocutory injunction filed by disqualified independent candidate Samuel Appea-Danquah, who sought to have his name included on the ballot for the December 7th Presidential election.
The Court presided over by Justice George Ampiah- Bonney dismissed the application based on “the identification of falsification and forgeries”, and “gross illegalities”.
The court gave the ruling on Thursday November 14, 2024.
Samuel Apea- Danquah, founder and Leader of the Yellow Ghana Movement, was part of the disqualified Presidential candidates.
The ruling by the court paves way for the Electoral Commission to continue its preparation for the December 7 elections.
