Ghana’s premier brewing company, Accra Brewery PLC also known for its popular beverages such as Ghana’s bestselling –Club Premium Lager, Club Shandy among others has introduced another premium beverage Corona Beer into the Ghanaian market.
Tagged the finest beer, corona has 4.7% alcohol and producers say all one need is a wedge of lime and a bottle of corona to disconnect from stress and have a blast.

Chuka Nnaobi, Head of Marketing for Accra Brewery PLC speaking at the sidelines of the launch event said: ‘’ we are here to launch ‘La cerveza mas fina’, meaning the finest beer in Spanish corona beer. Globally, corona beer is the premium beer in the world. So we said why don’t we bring it to Ghana. Ghanaians love fine taste. Corona invites consumers to connect to your essential nature’’

According Mr. Nnaobi, Ghanaians should look forward to a very fine tasting beer which will inspire them to disconnect from the hustle and connect to nature.

‘’Corona is a that lives on the beach and by the beach. It invites you to walk away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, walk away from gadgets and come back to nature. We know Ghanaian love nature, Ghanaians love fine things that is why we are here to invite you to connect to nature and disconnect from the hustle’’ he said.

Speaking about the stiff competition that corona beer may face from other competing beer brands the Marketing Lead said corona beer is in a league of its own. ‘’Corona like I already said is the finest beer in the world, and though we are now officially launching we brought in a seed and people loved it. It all got finished and so we believe corona will do so well on the market’’ he assured.

Touching on the name corona and possible association of the beer to corona virus he said: ‘’Corona is an ages old product, it’s not new. The period of lockdown and problems of the last couple of years, it’s a reminder to reconnect to nature, take off your slippers, walk in the sand and really enjoy yourself and have no worries. I am confident that it will turn around the bad experiences of the last two years,’’ he said.
