Confirmed: Otto Addo to continue as Black Stars coach till 2022 World Cup

Dortmund trainer Otto Addo will continue as head coach of the Black Stars until January next year, Happy Sports can report.

The former Ghana international has been given the greenlight by his club to take charge of the Black Stars in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers and the 2022 World Cup.

Otto Addo together with three others George Boateng, Mas-ud Didi Dramani and Chris Hughton as technical advisor qualified Ghana to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The four ended their contract after the World Cup playoffs and have reverted back to their clubs.

The President Nana Akufo-Addo directed the Ghana Football Association to ensure the technical team stays till the world cup ends before a substantive coach is appointed.

Otto Addo who has reverted to his club Dortmund has disclosed that he has been granted permission to work as head coach of the Black Stars.

“I got permission from Dortmund. Under certain conditions, it works out that I can do the international game phases in June, September and alo the World Cup”-Otto Addo He will be available for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers and the 2022 World Cup!Via Hamburger Abendblatt/Podcast.

Otto Addo will be on the bench for next month’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Central Africa Republic.
