The Coalition of Concerned Nzema People have petitioned President John Dramani Mahama to suspend the petroleum hub project in Jomoro, Western Region.
According to the group, President Mahama should focus on addressing concerns relating to the process involved in the project.
The petition indicated that, the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation was initiated without any prior engagements with community members, which they say, “violates their right”.
“We are not against development. We welcome responsible investments that align with the needs and aspirations of our people and unlock the potential of our natural resources”.
The Group has requested president Mahama to pause the acquisition and investigate the project.
They have also requested the reinstatement of Engineer Isaac Nded Kojo.
