Churches now banks in Ghana with no withdrawal – Kintana

Follower of Common Sense Family, Yahuda Kintana, has referred to the church as a bank where Christians are unable to withdraw money when in need of financial assistance.

According to him, Christians just go to church withoutunderstanding the Bible, and are ignorant of the important things in it.

In an interview with Rev. Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9FM’s NsemPii, he said, “The church is more like a bank where members can deposit money as tithes, offering and seed sowing, but when it’s time for a church member who is in dire need to withdraw, they don’t help.”

He noted there have been instances where some church members needed help urgently and were not helped by the church, although they are prompt in making financial contributions.

“If you give money to a pastor, don’t expect the pastor to help you when you need help. Church members do not qualify to spend money from the church despite the fact that you contribute to the church,” he said.

He stressed that payments and contributions made to the church does not guarantee it support to members when in need. “It has not been written anywhere in the Bible and as a matter of fact, in the book of Leviticus 12:10 we were instructed not to spend money meant for a pastor because it’s holy.”

“We have been deceived for a long time and made to believe that church members can come and seek help from the church in their time of need but it is not true. And the earlier we come to realize this the better for us all,” he highlighted.
