
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, held a significant meeting on April 2, 2025, at the National Police Headquarters in Accra.
This gathering brought together several former IGPs to share their insights and experiences in a bid to enhance the operational and administrative efficiency of the Ghana Police Service.
The former IGPs in attendance included Mr. C.K Dewornu, Mr. Ernest Owusu Poku, Nana Owusu-Nsiah, Mr. Patrick Acheampong, Mrs. Elizabeth Mills-Robertson, Dr. John Kudalor, Mr. David Asante-Apeatu, and Mr. James Oppong Boanuh.
The discussion focused on critical areas such as personnel welfare, crime control across the nation, stakeholder engagement, ongoing reforms, and general issues affecting the Police Service. Broader topics related to maintaining law and order were also addressed.
The meeting emphasized fostering collaboration between current and past leadership within the Police Service.
It concluded with a commitment to holding regular interactions to ensure the continued growth and development of the institution.
Members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) were also present to contribute to this collaborative effort.
