
Black Stars playmaker and Newcastle United FC player, Christian Atsu, is in a state of ignorance over a planned route for the senior national team, the Black Stars, ahead of the 2019 edition of the AFCON in Egypt.
The Newcastle United star seems anxious as he does not know when training for the tournament in Egypt will start.
The experience player who is a regular in Kwesi Appiah’s team, took to his Twitter page to question the readiness and preparation of the team amidst the captaincy issues which seems to be the focus of many.
The 27-year-old had another outstanding season with Newcastle United and is hoping to help the Black Stars end the 37 years of ‘trophyless’ campaign.
Coach Kwesi Appiah was to make an official announcement of his provisional squad this week, with the team scheduled for camping in the United Arab Emirate on June 1. But the controversies surrounding the captaincy and the meetings with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has left the issue of camping and training hanging in the air.
