Executive Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak, known for her Guinness World Records cooking marathon attempt, has officially launched a recipe book featuring a collection of delicious Ghanaian dishes.

The launch, held earlier today, Tuesday, September 2024, at the Accra Tourist Information Center, brought together chiefs and traditional leaders from the Northern Region to celebrate this culinary achievement with the Ghanaian chef.

In her address, Chef Failatu described the cookbook as a reflection of her passion for sharing. She emphasized that the book, now available on the market, offers buyers the opportunity to explore dishes from various regions of Ghana in the comfort of their homes.

Director of Corporate Affairs at the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Jones Aruna Nelson highlighted that Chef Failatu’s culinary journey, deserves the support of GTA with its See Ghana, Eat Ghana, Wear Ghana and Feel Ghana campaign. He noted that this longstanding support of GTA has been evident since her Guinness World Record attempt for the longest cooking marathon to her exhibitions around the world. ” This book should be in every Ghanaian home; this will give every Ghanaian the ability to cook; just follow the recipe and you can cook for your whole family. We will be happy if the Ghana Education Service takes this initiative of Faila and ensure that this book will serve us one of the books in the Home Economics department of every school.”

Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak also noted that proceeds from the cookbook will fund initiatives aimed at nurturing and training young people in the Northern Region, with the ultimate goal of developing and enhancing job opportunities.
