Check out the Kumawood actor who donated GH¢1 towards John Mahama’s comeback

As part of John Mahama’s campaign to wrestle power from the NPP, Kumawood actor and former independent Parliamentary aspirant in the Ashanti region has made donation towards the filing fees of the former President.

The former President has made a decision to contest for the NDC’s Presidential Candidate position and stand in as a Flagbearer in the coming 2020 national election.

Each member in the leading opposition party NDC was charged to pay GH¢400,000 as a filing fee to get the opportunity to stand in as an aspirant to be voted for.

With such a huge amount, many people in the party have taken it upon themselves to solicit funds for the former President as a means to support his second coming.

In a viral photo on social media, veteran actor Michael Afrane was seen donating GH¢1 as he walks in a queue at the Regional Secretariat office of the party in Kumasi as spotted by Happyghana.com

On his explanation as to why he did that, he revealed that Former President Mahama has been his longtime friend.

He added that the ‘Bobolebobo’ dancer generously donated towards his cause in the run-up to the 2016 Parliamentary Election of which he contested at Manso Nkwanta, so he has a duty to do same.

Michael Afrane has served as an Assembly member in the area before proceeding to contest as an Independent Parliamentary Candidate for Manso Nkwanta constituency in the Amansie West district of the Ashanti Region.

In an off-record interview, the Kumawood actor said John Mahama comeback is a blessing for Ghana especially miners in the country.
