Ghana’s top athletes have been selected for the CAA Region II Athletics Championship, set for June 4th-5th at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
The team, comprising the nation’s top athletes, is poised to make a strong impression at the championship, which serves as a qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) has unveiled a formidable team, boasting a dynamic mix of seasoned veterans and rising stars. Experienced campaigners like Hor Harlutie, Mary Boakye, Helena Mensah, Sarfo Ansah, and Edwin Gadayi will spearhead the charge, leveraging their international experience to secure victory on home soil.
This marks Ghana’s second time hosting the CAA Region II Championship, and the nation is eager to once again showcase its athletic prowess, following a well-received hosting of the African Games. Athletes from 15 countries will be vying for top honors, promising an exhilarating display of speed, strength, and endurance across two days of intense competition.
