Some International schools in Ghana have shut down following the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
The German-Swiss International School located at the Nima residential area in Accra has shut down
The Ghana International School (GIS) has also shut down.
The Norwegian Embassy in Ghana has shut down after a key staff tested positive for Coronavirus.

The Ghana Education Service and the Ghana Health Service say the institutions will distribute hand sanitizers to public schools after it held a joint meeting in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
A communique signed by the Director-General of GES, Prof. Kwasi Opoku Amankwa and the Director-General of the GHS, Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye directed that schools should suspend all public activities, such as speech days in a bid to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

It also indicated that a checklist on Rapid Assessment and Preparedness towards disease prevention is being developed and given out to schools to ensure that the necessary precautionary measures are being followed to ensure schools are safe.
