In the ongoing investigation into the theft of money from Cecilia Dapaah’s residence, another individual has been granted bail, bringing the total to three released on bail.
Previously, two individuals were granted bail because they are lactating mothers.
During a court session in Accra today, August 22, 2023, lawyers representing Job Pomary, the sixth accused person, submitted a bail application on his behalf.
Job Pomary is accused of collaborating with the fifth accused person, Christiana Achab, in the alleged purchase of a four-bedroom house in Kokrobite for GH¢280,000, using funds supposedly stolen from the former sanitation minister’s residence.
The prosecutors did not object to the bail request. Consequently, Job Pomary was granted bail amounting to GH¢300,000, with two sureties required for justification. Furthermore, he is obligated to report to the police every two weeks.
Meanwhile, the two lactating mothers remain in custody as they have yet to fulfill the conditions for their release.
