CAF President, Ahmad Ahmad, has been released by the French Judicial Authorities who arrested him earlier today at a hotel in Paris, France.
President Ahmad Ahmad was arrested in France on June 6.
Among the allegations are claims that Ahmad forced CAF to buy sports wear through a French company rather than directly from manufacturers and at inflated prices.
Ahmad, a former Malagasy cabinet minister, had been reported last month to FIFA’s ethics committee for alleged corruption and sexual harassment by CAF general secretary, Amr Fahmy, who was then fired.
According to reports, Ahmad is a free man now without any charges against him.
