Deputy coach of Asante Kotoko Akakpo Patron has expressed his delight with the performance of his player in the CAF Confederation Cup victory over Coton Sport de Garoua on Sunday.
Emmanuel Gyamfi, Maxwell Baakoh and Abdul Fatawu Safiu scored to hand Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko a 3-2 away triumph over Coton Sport Garoua of Cameroon in the CAF Confederation Cup playoff round.
The home side’s consolations, though, came from Daouda Kamilou and Lambert Gueme Araina.
Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM‘s Anopa Bosuo Sports from the club’s base in Cameroon, coach Patron believes every member of the playing body deserve praise and assured that the players that did not feature deserve equal praise.
“The players we were ready to outplay themselves whenever the opportunity is given. I am very impressed with the performance of the players. They played according to the instructions we gave them,” he told Happy FM.
“All Kotoko players will get their chance to play for the team. No player should feel left out of this celebration.”
The second leg will come off on Sunday, January 20, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
