Champions Medeama SC will face Nigerian side Remo Stars in the first preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.
This was revealed at the draw of the CAF inter-club competitions took place at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
Medeama SC are set to make their debut in the Champions League having previously competed in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2014 and 2017.

Medeama will first play host to Remo Stars at the Cape Coast Stadium before travelling to Nigeria for the second leg. The first preliminary round is scheduled from 18-20 August for the first leg matches and 25 – 27 August for the second leg encounters.
The second preliminary round is fixed for 15 – 17 September and September 19 – October 1, 2023.
The winner of this tie will play against Guinean giants Horoya AC in the second preliminary round to fight for a place in the group stage.
