The CAF Champions League preliminary round game between Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and FC Nouadibou has been called off due to a coronavirus scarce.
The game was delayed for over an hour after it had been revealed that two players from the away side had tested positive for the coronavirus.
FC Nouadibou were persistent in using the affected players which was declined by the match officials according to unconfirmed reports.
The Mauritanian side had also requested for certification on the COVID-19 status of all their players from the hospital that carried the test as they suspected some foul play or tactics to cripple their squad ahead of the game.
Officials of the game had to call the game off as the two sides were not ready for the game at the Accra Sports Stadium.
