Spokesperson for Asante Kotoko, Lawyer Sarfo Duku, has declared that there will be no special bonus for their players ahead of CAF Confederation Cup clash against Nkana FC on Sunday.
Asante Kotoko bounced back to winning ways last Wednesday with a 2-1 win over ZESCO United at home after losing their opening fixture by 1-0 against Sudanese side Al Hilal.
The Porcupine Warriors will be aiming to pick their second win of Group C when they travel to Kitwe to engage Nkana FC on matchday three of the competition.
Several advocates of the team have called on management to increase the winning bonus of the playing to enliven them in the vital match against Nkana FC on Sunday.
Speaking with Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Happy FM‘s Anopa Bosuo Sports, the club’s scribe stated emphatically that the players are already motivated to return home with the maximum points hence they there will be no need to add any extra bonus ahead of the match.
“We made the players aware that there is nothing like special packages for them. We don’t need to put something expensive on the line in order for them to deliver because they’re supposed to deliver as professional players,” Duku stated on Happy FM.
Kotoko sit 3rd on the standings with three points, same as ZESCO United and Al Hilal respectively but with an inferior goal difference while Nkana FC occupy bottom of the log with the same number of points as the three clubs.
