3rd round of GFA elections to still go on despite George Afriyie conceding defea
The President of the Normalisation Committee, Dr. Kofi Amoah upon discussions with the Electoral Commission of the FA has decided to go on with the presidential elections despite George Afriyie’s withdrawal.
According to him, though George Afriyie has conceded defeat to Kurt Okraku, they still need to go through the due process.
Kurt will be the only candidate on the ballot sheet as delegates go into a 3rd round of voting.
Social commentators are speculating some may still not vote for Kurt to enable him get the 50% + 1 as enshrined in the GFA constitution.
