Enyimba FC goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda has been recalled to join the Black Stars for their pre-AFCON training tour in the United Arab Emirates after being dropped on Avram Grant’s announcement of his provisional 26-man squad.
His call comes in the wake of Adam Larsen Kwarasey having suffered an injury prior to the camping tour.
Speaking to Happy FM Wednesday morning, the former Ashgold shot-stopper said he was even on his way to his Nigerian club when he received the call to join the team in the Gulf country.
“I have received the call to join the Black Stars in UAE. I was told that Kwarasey is injured so I have to come and replace him. I was preparing to join my club Enyimba FC when I got the call. I have always been a positive person.” Fatau Dauda told Happy FM.
Avram Grant is expected to name his final 23-man squad later today.
