Boxer Patrick Allotey has pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him following his assault on Michael Siaw, a Kotoko fan at the Accra Sports Stadium during the Super Clash between Hearts and Asante Kotoko.
He was seen in a viral video punching the fan which led to a deep cut under his right eye
Allotey was arraigned before court on Monday where he made his first appearance and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He has been granted bail of of GHC100,000 with three sureties.
The court has also seized his passport to prevent him from jumping bail, Happy Sports understands.
He will next appear in court on 25 February, 2020.
Allotey’s woes continues as he continues to serve a six-month suspension imposed on him by the Ghana Boxing Authority last week.
He admitted to the crime and pleaded with the GBA not to revoke his boxing license.
The suspension will mean Allotey will miss his bout which is scheduled to come off in April, 2020.
