Boxer Patrick Allotey has been granted bail, Happy Sports can confirm.

The boxer was arrested and detained when he availed himself to the Police on Thursday at the Ministries Police Station.

According to our source, there was a directive for Patrick Allotey to be transferred to the Regional Headquarters.

In an interview with Happy Sports, Manager for Cubic Promotions,Gideon Oyiadzo Jingles confirmed Patrick Allotey has been granted bail.

“He went to the Police Station yesterday and his statement was taken and granted bail. The Regional Police were interested in the case so he went there to write his statement. As to what will happen next, it’s up to the authorities”, he stated on Happy FM.

“We came with the facts in the statement we released and our duty is to investigate the issue. Allotey went there to support Kotoko and if there is a problem, I don’t see why the team will stand behind one of them”, he added.

Patrick Allotey assaulted a Kotoko fan last Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium which has led to this predicament.

He will be facing the Ghana Boxing Authority to defend his license after committing this offense.
