Former Black Stars management committee member, Ernest Thompson says the Black Stars should be handled by experienced people not Otto Addo and his inexperienced technical team.
According to him, Otto Addo has done what he can and has shown based on the African Cup of Nations qualifiers that he is not cut for the job and an experience coach is needed.
He said countries like South Africa have hired a high level coach like Hugo Broos so Ghana shouldn’t lower the standard else the team will suffer.
“We need a high level coach because you don’t joke with the national especially when you have majority of your players coming from outside. Countries like South Africa have hired someone like Hugo Broos and that is the way to go.”
“The Black Stars should be handled by experienced people not Otto Addo and his inexperienced technical team. We have seen what Otto Addo has done and is clear that he is not cut for the job,” Ernest Thompson told Ohene-Bampoe Brenya in an interview with Happy Sports.
Ernest Thompson’s comments come on the back of Ghana’s inability to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco.
