Black Stars B Whitewash Nigeria To Win 2017 WAFU Trophy

A sensational brace from Stephen Sarfo ensured Ghana annihilated their bitterest rivals Nigeria 4-0 in to win the 2017 edition on the WAFU Cup.
Hearts of Oak duo Vincent Atingah and Winful Cobbina grabbed the other goals  for the Black Star B in what was a resounding victory.
Ghana began the game with clear intent to avenge the 2-0 loss they suffered to Nigeria in their last group game and it paid off with Stephen Sarfo bagging the opener with a sublime strike on the turn.
Atingah increased the tally for the Stars with a sumptuous strike from the spot after substitute Patrick Razak was hacked down in the box with his first touch in the game.
Stephen Sarfo grabbed his brace moments later, also through the spot, following a foul on Patrick Razak in the penalty box, making him the tournament’s top scorer.
Lynchpin of the Ghana side Winful Cobbinah made it four for Ghana after slotting in a Razak pass.
Nigeria would not go out without putting up a fight as they mitigated the disgrace with a wondrous Rabiu free kick that beat Ghana’s goalkeeper Joseph Addo.
