The Black Stars have been hit with a major blow in the ongoing 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers after a defeat to the Falcons of Sudan.
The Falcons of Sudan secured a major boost for their qualification to the tournament in Morocco in 2025 after beating the Black Stars 2-0 to maintain their second position in the group.
After a goalless first half game at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Benghazi, the host got the break in the 62nd minute before adding the second three minutes later in the 65th minute.
Ahmed Al-Tash and Mohamed Abdel Raman are now powering the Sudanese to the African Cup of Nations after missing out on the tournament in 2023 in Ivory Coast.
The Falcons are now unbeaten at home in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers after beating both the Black Stars of Ghana and Niger at the at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Benghazi, Libya.
Sudan now occupies the second position on the Group F table with 7 points after 4 games while the Black Stars have only accumulated 2 points so far.
The Falcons now have their destinies in their own hands as a win in their final two games against Angola and Niger will take them to Morocco for the continental tournament.
Angola, the Group leaders also have a chance to qualify for the tournament with a home victory against Niger as they are currently leading the group with 9 points.
