Ghana’s U-20 national team, the Black Satellites, will begin camping in Accra on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, as part of preparations for the upcoming U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Led by head coach Desmond Ofei, the team returns from a brief break after participating in a competitive three-nation invitational tournament in Rabat, Morocco—an exercise that offered valuable insights and tested the technical team’s strategies.
The residential camp will take place at Erata Hotel, with players expected to undergo intense training sessions and tactical drills. Several friendly matches have also been arranged to sharpen the squad before they depart for Egypt, where the tournament will run from April 26 to May 18, 2025.
Ghana has been placed in Group A alongside Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania, DR Congo, and a UNIFFAC representative yet to be confirmed.
With four continental titles (1993, 1999, 2009, and 2021) and a historic FIFA U-20 World Cup win in Egypt in 2009, the Black Satellites are aiming to reclaim their dominance on the African stage.
