The Black Queens of Ghana have booked their place in the semifinal stage of on going Wafu Zone B tournament in Ivory Coast by beating neighbors,Togo at the Stade Du Parc Des Sports.
A brace from Mavis Owusu and Alice Kusi aided them to next stage of the competition.
Before the first half whistle, the Black Queens got their first goal through Ghana’s darling girl,Mukarama Abdulai. Fabulous Ladies’ Alice Kusi scored in the 53rd and 65th minutes respectively, whiles Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ Mavis Owusu destroyed the Togolese defense in the 77th and 85th minutes.
Grace Asantewaa also registered her name in the 74th minutes to secure the win for the Black Queens.
Mavis Owusu with a brace on the day, was adjudged the ‘Most Valuable Player’ after the game.
Ghana has six points after two games, same as Ivory Coast who also won their two games.
Ghana will play host nation Ivory Coast in the final group game on Monday 13 May, 2019 in a battle for the top spot position.
