Former Welterweight Champion, Joshua Clottey has sent a message to the Black Bombers team ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games qualification in Thailand.
With 80 days to the start of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, no Ghanaian boxer has secured qualification after two failed attempts in the Senegal and Italy qualifiers.
The Bombers now have another opportunity in Thialand to secure some qualifications and Clottey believes, at least one boxer should be able to qualify to the Games else the team should be dissolved.
“They need to qualify, we can’t go to the Olympics Games without a Ghanaian boxer representing because that will be a big shame to the country.”
“One or two should at least qualify in Thailand else they should dissolve the Black Bombers team,” Joshua Clottey told Happy Sports.
