Bibiani Gold Stars forward, Abednego Tetteh, is optimistic his team will finish in a respectable position in the ongoing 2022/23 betPawa GPL.
After losing to Medeama in their previous match, the Miners( Bibiani Gold Stars) bounced back with a crucial victory over Legon Cities on Monday at Duns Park, propelling them to sixth place on the log.
Abednego Tetteh contributed significantly to the victory, scoring twice to bring his personal tally to ten.
In terms of goals, he is tied at second with Bechem United’s Hafiz Konkoni and Asante Kotoko’s Stephen Mukwala, but two fewer than Berekum Chelsea’s Mezack Afriyie, who has 12.
Speaking after the victory, Abednego Tetteh said his team’s success was more important than his personal achievement.
“My target is first for my team to be in the top four if not winning the league but for the goal king is a secondary matter, when I win it I will give thanks to God.
“I hope so but that is not my target now, the target is to help my team to be in the top four,” he said.
Bechem United will visit Real Tamale United on April 14 after the Easter break.
