The 2024 Flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, has urged traditional leaders from the Kusaug and Mamprugu areas to take decisive action in restoring peace and stability in their communities.
Addressing the chiefs and people of the Bimoba community in Ghana and Togo during the Danjuar festival in Kpikpira, he stressed the importance of leadership in resolving conflicts.
He noted that without control and unity, it would be difficult to call for an end to hostilities.
He cautioned against allowing the region to become a zone of chaos and urged leaders to encourage dialogue as the only way to settle differences.
Mr. Mornah emphasized that no conflict has ever been resolved through violence and that peace can only be achieved through meaningful discussions.
He called on the traditional leaders to use their influence to calm tensions and guide their people toward reconciliation.
