Bernard Mornah has triumphed in the flagbearer race for the People’s National Convention (PNC), marking a pivotal moment for the party.
His victory was declared by Electoral Commission officials at the UDS Guest House in Accra on September 7, 2024.
The party’s congress, held to elect national executives ahead of the December general elections, saw Mornah secure a decisive 1,138 votes.
His competitor, David Apasera, received 216 votes in the contest.
Delivering victory address, Mornah reached out to Apasera, encouraging cooperation to bolster the party’s position ahead of the general elections.
He highlighted the importance of unity in advancing the PNC’s quest for political power.
The congress, initially delayed by an injunction from Apasera’s camp, was able to proceed smoothly after the matter was resolved.
