Becca advocates for Breast Cancer Awareness

Ghanaian Songstress, Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong popularly known as Becca has advised women to go for a regular check-up for breast cancer in this month of Breast Cancer Awareness.

She campaigned for Breast Cancer Awareness in an interview with Happy FM’s DJ Advicer on the Ayekoo After Drive show.

“Women need to regularly check for breast cancer. They can easily check for lumps in their breast at home. They can also visit the hospital twice a year for a proper check-up. For women above the age of forty, it is advisable to go for a Mammogram”, she said.

According to her, the issue of breast cancer is a debilitating disease that can affect any woman. She was thus enthused by the initiative of setting October as Breast Cancer Awareness month.

October has been marked as Breast Cancer Awareness Month worldwide. In this month, many organisations promote attention and support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
