Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will launch a national credit score system today, November 7, 2024.
This system is designed to improve Ghanaians’ access to personal loans and help financial institutions manage risk and costs.
It will use data from sources such as the GhanaCard, GhanapostGPS, Mobile Money, DVLA, GRA, and bank accounts.
The NPP flagbearer previously stated that this system is designed to help workers buy items like houses and cars on credit with lower interest rates.
He believes the new credit score system will enable more Ghanaians to engage in the economy by offering a structured approach to assess creditworthiness, creating a framework that benefits both individuals and businesses.
