Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has reaffirmed his commitment to tackling youth unemployment in Ghana by pledging to create one million jobs through digital skills training.

During a rally in Kpando, Volta Region, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his plan to equip Ghanaian youth with vital digital competencies, empowering them to compete in the global economy regardless of their educational background.

“Youth unemployment is one of the biggest challenges we face today, and we need innovative solutions. All the youth, we need jobs. I am going to give one million youths digital skills in Ghana. Everybody, even if you are a school dropout, we can give you digital skill” he said.

He also emphasized the potential for young Ghanaians to access international employment opportunities while staying in their local communities.

“You will stay in Kpando and work in America, in Germany, in Japan, in the UK, and in the US. Work right from here with your digital skills,” he assured the youth.
