Former member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Allotey Jacobs has thrown his weight behind Vice President Dr Bawumia candidature going into the 2024 general election.
According to him, Dr Bawumia terrifies the opposition NDC with his style and knowledge of the presentation of issues on national interest.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben with Kwabena Don Prah Mr Jacob said “Bawumia has exhibited true leadership since as the Vice President of this country. He is terrifying, because of his presentation on issues. Anything he will hold a forum, the next day there will be earth tremor in NDC, people will attack him here and there but they will never speak to the issues he has raised, that makes him very terrifying.”

Let see what will happen in 2024. That will be a defining moment for our democracy. Unless the NPP make that mistake of not bringing him [Bawumia] as their leader, for me he will be a better choice for the NPP.”
Allotey Jacobs was recently fired by the NDC party.
In a press release signed by General Secretary Johnson Aseidu Nketia, the party said that its disciplinary committee found Mr Jacobs guilty of allegations of misconduct and anti-party conduct brought against him.

That notwithstanding, Mr Jacobs says he does not want to be associated with any party after exiting the NDC.
“I don’t belong to any political party. I am a social commentator now. At this age, I will not join any political party. I will never be a member of the NPP.”
