Azumah Nelson reveals why he accepted exhibition fight against EU Ambassador

Ghanaian boxing legend, Azumah Nelson wants to leverage the European Union to help develop the sports with his exhibition fight against Ambassador Irchad Razaaly.

Azumah Nelson on Saturday, May 4, 2024, will be fighting Ambassador Irchad Razaaly at the Bukom Boxing Arena as part of the European Union month celebration in Ghana.

Speaking to the media at the Residence of the EU Ambassador, Azumah Nelson who was happy that boxing was selected as the exhibition sports said he accepted to fight because he wants the EU to help Ghana boxing.

“I took this exhibition fight because we don’t have the equipment’s or the infrastructure so through them (European Union) we can get these equipment’s.”

“So I have to get involved in this exhibition fight so that we can use it as an opportunity to engage them to come and help us develop Ghana boxing,” Azumah Nelson told the media.
