Avoid 'skirt and blouse' voting in the 2024 general elections - Asiedu Nketia

National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia affectionately known as General Mosquito, has made a passionate appeal to party supporters to vote overwhelmingly for the party’s flagbearer, John Mahama, and all NDC parliamentary candidates in the upcoming general elections. He emphasized the party’s determination to increase its parliamentary majority and secure a presidential victory, stressing that this is crucial for effective governance and policy implementation.

Nketia cautioned against the “skirt and blouse” voting tactic being promoted by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), warning that splitting votes between the presidential and parliamentary candidates would result in an NDC minority government. He explained that this would hinder the implementation of policies crucial to Ghana’s success under a potential Mahama administration, including initiatives aimed at addressing the country’s socio-economic challenges.

Nketia urged constituents to reject this divisive strategy and vote consistently for NDC candidates to ensure a strong and effective government that can deliver on its promises. He emphasized that a unified NDC vote is essential for the party to achieve its goals and make a meaningful impact on the lives of Ghanaians.
