Happyghana.com understands that Asante Kotoko is set to appoint Maxwell Konadu as the new head coach of the club.
The Black Stars B coach will sign a 2-year deal with the club.
Konadu has been spotted at the offices of Asante Kotoko on Monday and the deal looks likely to happen.
In an interview on Ghana’s number one Sports Station, Happy FM, Communication Director for Asante Kotoko, Kennedy Boakye-Ansah revealed that the team will head into the President Cup match against Hearts of Oak with a new coach.
Our source further reveals that Maxwell Konadu will pocket $60,000 annually from the club.
This will be his second stint with the club after guiding them to the 2011 Ghana Premier League title.
The Porcupine Warriors sacked Kjetil Zacharrissen in November after failing to qualify the team to the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.
Konadu was voted as the manager of the tournament at the 2019 WAFU tournament which the Black Stars B came second to Senegal in the final after losing on penalties.
