Asante Kotoko Supporters chief, Christopher Damenya has disclosed that the supporters have bought into the idea of getting their own stadium and are ready to contribute.
Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah says he will be able to build a stadium for the club if 100,000 committed supporters are able to contribute $100 each to the club.
Christopher Damenya in an interview on Wamputu Sports with Odiasempa Kwame Oware indicated that most of the supporters are willing and ready to pay more than the $100 for the construction of their own stadium.
“A lot of people have called to take part. Some people are calling to pay more than that. So we are going to work on it”.
“We have the numbers and if all our supporters are ready to contribute, we can build a mini-stadium”, he added.
Asante Kotoko currently uses the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as their home venue.
