
Asante Kotoko has responded to the reported cases of COVID-19 in its camp after their CAF Champions League game against Al Hilal was called off due to COVID-19 concerns.
The club had announced that five players and seven officials had tested positive for the virus which the club is disputing on the validity of the results.

The decision was made after conversations with medical experts and the health department officials in Sudan.
Asante Kotoko suspects foul play after the results were released by the Sudanese medical authorities.
The Porcupine Warriors were unable to raise a team for the game per the CAF regulations leading to the game being called off by the officials.
The club has issued a statement to detail the happenings in Sudan after the game was called off.

Kotoko are set to drop into the CAF Confederation Cup, where they will play in the final qualifying round for a place in the group stages.
