Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has officially parted ways with its Head Coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, following what the club described as “constructive discussions” between both parties.
In a statement released on the club’s official Facebook page on Monday afternoon, April 21, the management confirmed that the decision was reached with mutual consent, emphasizing that it was made in the best interest of the club at this point in time.
“We thank Coach Ogum for his dedication and service to the club, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors,” the statement read.
Dr. Ogum, who returned for a second stint as head coach of the Porcupine Warriors, has had a mixed season with the team, prompting speculation over his future in recent weeks.
The club also used the opportunity to call for calm among supporters as it prepares for a new phase.
“We urge our supporters to remain calm and continue to support the club during this transition. Further updates will be communicated in due course,” the statement added.
Details regarding a replacement or interim coaching arrangement have not yet been disclosed.
